A highly regarded and Legal 500-ranked firm is seeking an Associate Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its specialist Tax & Estate Planning team in Southampton.

The Role

  • Manage a varied and high-quality caseload across all aspects of Tax & Estate Planning, including:
    • Estate and trust administration
    • Drafting and updating wills
    • Variations of wills
    • Preparation and registration of LPAs
    • Advising on inheritance tax and capital gains tax matters
    • Drafting trusts and trust documentation
    • Succession and estate planning for private clients
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Support and mentor junior team members
  • Contribute to business development and networking activities
  • Play a key role in the continued growth of the department

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with ideally 3-5 PQE
  • Strong experience across tax, trusts and estate planning matters
  • Excellent technical drafting skills
  • Good understanding of inheritance tax, CGT and trust law
  • STEP qualified (or working towards) preferred
  • Commercially minded with strong client care skills
  • Confident supervising or mentoring junior colleagues
