A well-established yet modern Top 200 law firm with ambitious growth plans is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Litigator (6+ years PQE) to join its highly regarded Legal 500-ranked Dispute Resolution team. The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious litigator to handle a varied caseload of complex, high-value disputes, primarily in the High Court (Business & Property Courts/Chancery Division). The role involves working closely with senior leadership, including the Department Head and Managing Partner, who also sits as a Deputy District Judge.
Key responsibilities include:
- Commercial Litigation: Handling contractual disputes, misrepresentation claims, and breach of warranty matters.
- Shareholder and Partnership Disputes: Managing unfair prejudice claims, derivative actions, and partnership breakdowns.
- Professional Negligence: Acting in claims against solicitors, accountants, and surveyors.
- Debt Recovery & Enforcement: Advising on pre-action strategies and enforcement options in County Court and High Court proceedings.
- Judicial Review & Public Law: Handling regulatory disputes and challenges to public authority decisions.
- Construction Disputes: Including matters related to FIDIC and JCT contracts.
- Company Law Disputes: Applications under the Companies Act, shareholder remedies, and director disputes.
- Alternative Dispute Resolution: Representing clients in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations to achieve commercially sensible outcomes.

The ideal candidate will be a technically strong, commercially astute litigator with experience managing high-stakes disputes. Key attributes include:
- Extensive High Court Litigation Experience: Particularly within the Business & Property Courts, with expertise in case strategy and procedural applications.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of the Disclosure Pilot Scheme, electronic disclosure platforms, and complex litigation planning.
- Advocacy & Negotiation Skills: Experience handling injunctive relief applications, interim hearings, and case management conferences.
