An established and growing law firm based in Oxford is looking to recruit a Residential Property Solicitor to join its friendly, professional, and forward-thinking team. This is an excellent opportunity for a property solicitor who enjoys managing their own caseload, building strong client relationships, and working within a supportive environment that genuinely values quality work and career development.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing a full residential property caseload from instruction through to post-completion, dealing with a broad and interesting range of matters, including:

  • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
  • Remortgages
  • New-build and shared ownership purchases
  • Transfers of Equity
  • First registrations and assents
  • Help to Buy loan repayments

You will have autonomy over your files, supported by an effective case management system to ensure smooth and compliant file handling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing residential conveyancing matters from opening to file closure
  • Preparing client care documentation and completing onboarding procedures
  • Drafting contract packs and responding to pre-contract enquiries
  • Reviewing title, raising enquiries, and ordering searches
  • Reporting to clients on title, searches, and mortgage documentation
  • Liaising with clients, agents, lenders, management companies, and other third parties
  • Exchanging contracts and overseeing completions
  • Handling all post-completion matters, including registrations
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory, risk, and file management procedures
  • Working closely with the Head of Department
  • Meeting agreed financial targets and contributing to business development

About You

  • Ideally 2-5 years' PQE in Residential Conveyancing (flexible for the right candidate)
  • Able to manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision
  • Confident, client-focused, and commercially aware
  • Comfortable using case management systems and Microsoft Office
  • Keen to develop your skills and progress your career
