The Role – What You\’ll Be Doing
The successful candidate will join a prominent Tax & Trusts team advising on a wide range of matters involving high-net-worth UK and international clients, including trustees, beneficiaries, landowners, and business owners. Responsibilities include:
- Advising on and assisting others who advise on wills, trusts, and tax planning
- Drafting and reviewing trust documentation and agreements
- Providing legal advice on inheritance, capital gains, and income tax planning strategies
- Advising on the establishment and restructuring of trusts
- Conducting legal research and supporting complex, multi-jurisdictional matters
- Collaborating with specialists across the private client team and other departments
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through ongoing legal support
There will also be opportunities to develop specialisms in areas such as:
- Tax and succession planning for farms and estates
- Planning for company and partnership owners
- Offshore trusts and multi-jurisdictional structures
- Tax issues related to the settlement of trust litigation
The Team You\’ll Join

- Trust Management
- Court of Protection
- Tax & Trusts
The Tax & Trusts team is frequently instructed by fellow professionals including accountants, trust companies, and other solicitors for advice on complex trust and tax issues. The team manages a significant number of trusts ranging from £250,000 to £25 million.
