We are working with a highly regarded law firm that is looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to join a busy and well-established team acting for a major corporate client. This is a hands-on, client-embedded role offering high levels of responsibility, exposure to complex transactions, and genuine long-term career development.

The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload and work closely with in-house teams, surveyors, and external advisers on a wide range of commercial property matters. Due to continued growth, the firm is expanding the team and is looking to appoint two new hires - one at junior level and one at senior level. This is an excellent opportunity to join a genuinely growing practice with clear progression at both ends of the experience spectrum.

The Role

  • You will have day-to-day responsibility for managing client files across a broad spectrum of commercial property work, including acquisitions, lease structures, variations, surrenders, assignments, licences, and completions.
  • The role involves drafting and negotiating documentation, reviewing third-party drafts, advising on title matters, and supporting transactions through to post-completion.
  • You will also play an active role in client relationship management, project work, training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a varied commercial property caseload from instruction through to completion
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial property documentation
  • Advising on registered and unregistered title and resolving title issues
  • Handling completions, SDLT submissions, and Land Registry applications
  • Working closely with client stakeholders, surveyors, and external advisers
  • Supporting client projects and reporting against agreed milestones

About You

  • Strong experience in commercial property law
  • Solid understanding of landlord and tenant matters, including leases and renewals
  • Experience advising on and drafting commercial leases
  • Exposure to property finance work is advantageous
  • Commercially minded with strong attention to detail
  • Confident communicator, comfortable working with senior stakeholders
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities
  • A collaborative team player with strong negotiation skills
