An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join a highly regarded Legal 500-ranked Private Client team as a Senior Associate or Partner. This is a rare opportunity to take on a key leadership role within an ambitious and progressive law firm, working alongside high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, and trustees across the Thames Valley.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading and developing the Maidenhead-based Private Client team while helping to shape the future growth and strategic direction of the wider department. This position offers genuine autonomy, high-quality work, and a clear platform for progression and influence.

The Opportunity

  • Manage a broad and complex caseload, including:
    • Wills, probate, and estate administration matters
    • Trust creation, administration, and succession planning
    • Inheritance tax and estate planning advice
    • Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters
    • Advising high-net-worth individuals, families, trustees, and business owners on wealth preservation and succession planning

In addition, you will:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop junior lawyers and support staff
  • Assist with the strategic growth and development of the Private Client team
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and professional referrers
  • Contribute to business development and networking activities
  • Ensure the delivery of exceptional client service and technical excellence

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • 8+ years' PQE within Private Client law
  • Strong technical expertise in wills, trusts, estate administration, and inheritance tax planning
  • Experience advising high-net-worth individuals and managing complex estates
  • STEP qualification, or be working towards accreditation
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • A commercial and proactive approach to client relationship management and business development
