A highly regarded London-based boutique law firm is seeking an ambitious Associate Solicitor to join its specialist Landed Estates & Rural Property practice. The firm is widely recognised as a market leader in real estate, private client, family and trust matters, regularly acting for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, trustees and landed estate owners across the UK. Consistently ranked in both Chambers and Legal 500, the firm is known for handling complex, high-value matters and offering genuine long-term career progression.
The Role
Joining a specialist rural property team, you will advise a prestigious client base on a broad range of landed estate, agricultural and rural property matters. The work combines both transactional and advisory elements. Recent work undertaken by the team includes:
- Sales and acquisitions of significant agricultural estates and country properties
- Complex easement and rights over high-value rural land holdings
- Estate management and strategic advice for farming and landed estate clients
- Agricultural tenancies and Agricultural Holdings Act matters
- Succession planning and generational transition of farming businesses
- Diversification projects, including renewable energy, mineral rights, natural capital and carbon trading initiatives
- Planning, title and unregistered land issues
The successful candidate will enjoy a high level of client contact and responsibility while working with a nationally recognised practice.
About You
- Qualified Solicitor with experience in rural property, agricultural law or landed estates work
- Strong technical grounding and excellent academics
- Comfortable managing transactions independently
- Ability to supervise and support junior lawyers where appropriate
- Genuine interest in rural affairs, environmental policy and countryside issues
- Experience of agricultural tenancies, unregistered land, easements and related rural property matters would be advantageous
