A Tier 1 Legal 500 residential property practice is looking to add a Residential Property Associate (circa 4 PQE) to its London team. The team advises UHNW individuals, families, property companies and private banks on a broad range of premium residential property transactions across prime central London and regional England. The work is sophisticated and fast‑paced, with a growing emphasis on complex second‑hand acquisitions, including listed buildings and bespoke title arrangements, alongside selective new‑build matters.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Acting on high‑value residential acquisitions and disposals, typically ranging from £5m to £20m
- Handling freehold and leasehold transactions, including complex title structures
- Advising on residential financing, acting for both borrowers and lenders
- Managing lender requirements, enquiries and conditions, including refinances
- Drafting and negotiating transactional documentation, including contracts, transfers and ancillary agreements
- Preparing detailed Reports on Title tailored to sophisticated private clients and advisers
- Advising on and managing lettings, licences to assign, underlet and alter, and deeds of variation
- Preparing and submitting SDLT forms and managing post‑completion registrations
- Conducting and overseeing AML, client onboarding and compliance processes
- Managing a busy, time‑sensitive caseload, with significant responsibility for day‑to‑day file control and client communication
