Location: Hertfordshire (1 or 2 days per week in office)

Salary: Up to £50,000 (DoE) + Bonus

Experience needed: We are seeking a skilled Cost Engineer with a strong engineering or manufacturing background within a complex environment. Experience in cost forecasting, estimating, or life cycle cost analysis will be highly valued.

About the role: An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our Cost Engineering function, supporting key business decisions across manufacturing, design, and bidding teams. You will play a crucial role in producing robust, data-driven cost forecasts to inform project delivery from concept through to end-of-life support. Working closely with stakeholders across Design, Manufacturing, and Future Business functions, you will help drive continuous improvement in cost estimation processes, challenging assumptions and ensuring transparency in forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong working relationships across functions to gather and analyse cost data
  • Generate and maintain Business Cost Forecasting documents throughout the full project lifecycle
  • Support Manufacturing with production cost forecasts and conduct whole life cycle cost analysis
  • Provide cost inputs to Bid Teams for future business opportunities
