HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
- As an IT Infrastructure Intern, you will work closely with the IT department to assist in the maintenance, troubleshooting, deployments, monitoring, and optimization of our IT systems and infrastructure.
- This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in IT operations, network administration, hardware management, and other key areas of IT infrastructure.
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure systems (laptops, desktops, workstations, tablets, printers, etc.)
- Support the installation and configuration of software and hardware components
- Help monitor system performance and perform basic diagnostics to ensure optimal operation
- Help maintain and update documentation related to IT systems, processes, and infrastructure projects
- Assist in troubleshooting IT-related issues for staff and end-users
- Work on assigned projects to improve IT infrastructure efficiency, security, or scalability
- Collaborate with senior IT staff on routine maintenance, upgrades, and system updates
- Provide technical support and assistance to team members as needed
WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Basic understanding of IT systems, networking, and hardware components
- Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows)
- Some knowledge of networking protocols and concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to noise and weld and grinding smoke at times
