About the Internship
Our internship programme offers 3rd‑year university students the chance to gain real‑world experience within our Audit team – the largest and most dynamic department. Over the course of the 6‑8 week internship, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals, gaining exposure to a broad client base and contributing to meaningful projects from day one. You’ll shadow mentors and build the foundational skills required for a career in accountancy. For those who demonstrate talent, drive, and a genuine interest in audit, there’s the potential to progress to a training contract once your studies are complete, provided you achieve a 2:1 degree.
Working in Audit
Our Audit team provides independent assurance on clients’ financial performance. Through detailed reviews of financial statements, records and internal controls, auditors ensure compliance with regulations and the integrity of financial reporting. As a trainee, you’ll study towards your ICAS qualification (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland), which includes training, exams and practical experience across four key areas: Knowledge, Skills, Integration and Practice. You’ll gain insight into accounting principles, auditing methodologies and regulatory frameworks while developing in a supportive and hands‑on environment.
