Henderson Food Service is the leading supplier to the food service industry in Ireland. We source and supply a range of thousands of products to customers including hotels, restaurants, and public sector organisations such as hospitals and offices. Following another year of record growth, our team continues to exceed targets and deliver sales across N.I. and R.O.I last year.
The Reorder Department at Henderson Foodservice Ltd is central to the continued success of our foodservice operation. The team ensures the right products are consistently available to meet the needs of our loyal and growing customer base.
The Purpose of the role: As a Replenishment Buyer, you will be responsible for ordering, planning, and managing stock inventory across assigned products, suppliers, and/or categories to deliver agreed service levels to both internal and external customers. The role also involves liaising with suppliers on stock-related matters and ensuring the timely introduction and progression of both new and existing products within the business.
Working as Replenishment Buyer you will:
- Deal with stock replenishment and inventory control on an agreed range of company products with specific metric accountability.
- Review, analyse and forecast stock requirements.
- Control the movement of stock levels to prevent overstocks and waste whilst improving service levels.
- Co-ordinate with company suppliers and internal departments to achieve team and company goals.
- Work on inbound order issues, returns, supplier recalls and load prioritisation with warehouse operations.
- Monitor performance of new lines and promotions in conjunction with the Trading team to drive KPI improvements.
- Proactively review sales information to support continuous improvement on stock levels, service and buying opportunities.
- Learn supply chain systems and processes with a view to supporting and implementation of these systems and processes.
- Provide support for ordering during seasonal and holiday periods under the guidance of the Replenishment Team Leader.
- Generate and provide service level reports to relevant stakeholders, using benchmarking to drive continuous improvement and monitoring supplier service levels.
- Develop strong working relationships with suppliers, customers and colleagues.
Skills for Success
The minimum criteria you'll need is:
- A minimum of two years experience in a stock replenishment or re-ordering role preferably within FMCG.
- Previous experience using a computerised Inventory Management System.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in analysing and interpreting data.
The attributes you'll need include:
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritise tasks.
It is Desirable if you have:
- A minimum of one year's experience in a stock replenishment or re-ordering role, preferably within the food industry.
- Knowledge of Relex or experience in any other supply chain systems.
- Previous supervisory or team leading experience.
- Experience of managing stock orders for Hospitality or retail.

This is a full-time position working 36.5 hours per week. Working hours will be 09:00am-5:00pm Monday to Thursday and 09:00am-04:00pm Friday. (Rotation of bank holidays and rotation of 1 in 8 Fridays working 09:00 - 05:00pm). Hybrid and flexible working arrangement available.
