Pay rates ranging from £11.90 to £13.25 per hour depending on your age and great benefits. Part‑time and full‑time positions available between 25 to 30 hours per week, working Monday to Sunday from 5:00 am to 9:00 pm, with a degree of flexibility required.

As a Kitchen Assistant you will work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment, assisting with the movement, storage, and rotation of goods in and out of the kitchen, packing freshly cooked products, and ensuring all goods are correctly labelled and recorded.
Responsibilities- Receive goods‑in ensuring all legislative requirements, quality specifications, and shelf life of products are adhered to.
- Implement effective stock rotation practices to use older products first and reduce wastage.
- Assist the Chef and Cook in the preparation of ingredients as required.
- Support stock control procedures and ordering.
- Perform kitchen porter duties, including keeping machines and production areas clean and tidy.
- Store packaging and other items correctly.
- Accurately record any damages or wastage.
- Prepare, clean, adjust, and maintain printing equipment.
- Ensure accurate information is printed on labels (use‑by date, price, etc.) and that they meet food‑labelling regulations.
- Ensure enough labels are printed to cover the production planned for the day.
- Work across all areas of the department when needed, including the deli and bakery department.
- Carry out other duties as required for the role.
- A flair and enthusiasm for cooking with fresh quality ingredients.
- Ability to deliver at pace while ensuring the highest food quality.
- Experience working in a fresh food production kitchen.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Experience working against budgets and/or targets.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office.
