Starting at £14.63 per hour & great benefits. This is a Full-time permanent position working 42.5 hours per week between Monday to Saturday, 6:00am–6:00pm.

A Look Into the Role

Our delis are a convenient place for customers to stop for breakfast, lunch or great coffee on the go. We're looking for a special candidate to lead our hard-working and friendly team, from preparing delicious food and delivering first-class customer service, to maintaining excellent hygiene standards. You'll be supported by brilliant people, with fantastic career development opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Listen to and understand customers' needs, advising them about products and services.
  • Provide first-class service to all customers.
  • Allocate work duties to ensure all tasks are covered and a high-quality service is maintained.
  • Exercise and enforce constant watch over Health & Safety, Security, Discipline and Due Diligence.
  • Carry out food safety control checks to ensure all standards are maintained and recorded.
  • Ensure stock is correctly positioned and priced, and that waste recording procedures are followed.
  • Prepare and cook food in line with company procedure and Health and Safety regulations.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the Delish Deli department (front and back) at all times.
  • Enforce all legislative demands relating to fire, health, hygiene and safety.
  • Undertake other duties as required.

Skills for Success:

  • A genuine passion for food, with a proven track record of delivering fantastic customer experiences in a similar role.
  • At least 1 year's experience in a serviced food role, with a professional approach to developing Delish Deli as a destination for food on the go.
  • At least 6 months' experience leading a team.
  • A positive attitude and love for people, you'll inspire and motivate your team.
  • Creative flair and an eye for detail, ensuring excellent presentation and standards.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety practices and procedures, minimum Level 2 Food Safety qualification required.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to deliver on Key Performance Indicators such as sales, costs and profitability.

Hours of Work:

Full-time position, 42.5 hours per week. Availability required to cover shifts within the hours of 6:00am–6:00pm, Monday to Saturday, with a degree of flexibility. Shortlisted candidates will have the opportunity to discuss shift patterns in further detail at interview.
