Responsibilities
- Provide first class customer service at the deli counter.
- Allocate work duties to team members to ensure coverage and quality service.
- Exercise and enforce constant watch over Health & Safety, Security, Discipline and Due Diligence.
- Carry out food safety control checks in all areas to ensure all standards are being maintained and recorded.
- Ensure stock is displayed in the correct position to attract sales, the correct price is displayed and waste recording procedure is being followed.
- Prepare and cook all food in line with company procedure and Health and Safety regulations.
- Ensure a high standard of cleanliness in the Delish Deli Department (front and back) is maintained at all times.
- Be accountable for the enforcement of all legislative demands/standards of fire, health, hygiene and safety and these conditions are strictly adhered to.
- Undertake other duties as required for the role.
Skills for Success
- Minimum 1 year experience in a serviced food role with strong customer experience track record.
- Minimum 6 months experience leading a team.
- Positive attitude and ability to inspire and motivate staff.
- Creative flair and eye for detail, ensuring excellent presentation and standards are maintained.
- Knowledge of Food Safety practices and procedures – minimum Level 2 qualification in Food Safety.
- Commercial awareness and ability to deliver on key performance indicators such as sales, costs and profitability.
