The predicted salary is between 14.63 - 14.63 £ per hour.

Full-time permanent position available at 34 hours per week. Availability to cover morning, evening & weekend shifts within the hours of 6:00am – midnight, Monday to Sunday, with a degree of flexibility required.

A look into the role

Reporting to the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager you will help to lead the store team to provide a shopping experience that exceeds our customers’ expectations and makes a difference in the local community.

As Team Leader you will:

  • Alongside the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager – lead the store team to follow store policies, standards and practices.
  • Take responsibility for the store in the absence of other leaders (includes keyholder responsibility).
  • Be a positive role model to the team and represent our values of Ambition, Customer First, Teamwork and Integrity.
  • Train, manage the workload and support your team, whilst being hands on in store – ensuring you work together to achieve the right resources in the right place at the right time to deliver the best customer experience.
  • Support the Store Manager to maximise store performance which includes understanding and implementing the store plan and priorities.
  • Alongside the store team, actively promote and get involved in initiatives to support the local community.
  • You may be required to cover the Post Office when required as part of this role.

Skills for Success

Joining us as Team Leader, the minimum criteria you’ll need is:

  • You must be aged 18 years or over (for store legislative requirements) along with previous store retail experience, of which at least 6 months have been at a supervisory level leading a team of people in a customer‑focused environment.
  • A natural ability to listen, interact and communicate with customers and team members.
  • Target driven to help the store achieve its business plans/priorities and be focused on continuous improvement.
  • Be able to inspire everyone to do their best for each other and the customer.
