£14.63 per hour & great benefits. Full time position 42.5 hours per week (5 out of 7 days) working within the opening hours of the store, Monday to Sunday, 6am to midnight with full flexibility required.

A Look into the Role

Reporting to the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager you will help to lead the store team to provide a shopping experience that exceeds our customers’ expectations and makes a difference in the local community.

Responsibilities

  • Alongside the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager – lead the store team to follow store policies, standards and practices.
  • Take responsibility for the store in the absence of other leaders (includes keyholder responsibility).
  • Be a positive role model to the team and represent our values of Ambition, Customer First, Teamwork and Integrity.
  • Train, manage the workload and support your team, whilst being hands on in store – ensuring you work together to achieve the right resources in the right place at the right time to deliver the best customer experience.
  • Support the Store Manager to maximise store performance which includes understanding and implementing the store plan and priorities.
  • Alongside the store team, actively promote and get involved in initiatives to support the local community.
  • Cover the Post Office when required and obtain a P250 Post Office check from the successful candidate.

Skills for Success

  • Must be aged 18 years or over and have previous store retail experience, with at least 6 months at a supervisory level leading a team in a customer‑focused environment.
  • Natural ability to listen, interact and communicate with customers and team members.
  • Target driven to help the store achieve its business plans/priorities and focused on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to inspire everyone to do their best for each other and the customer.

Working Hours

Full time position 42.5 hours per week (5 out of 7 days) within the opening hours of the store, Monday to Sunday, 6am to midnight with full flexibility required. Opening and closing and weekend shifts will be expected as part of the role. Shortlisted candidates will have the opportunity to discuss working hours and shift patterns in further detail at interview.
