A look into the role
The successful candidate will provide virtual and on-site training on the systems supplied by Henderson Technology. This will be carried out across GB, Channel Islands, Wales, Scotland and beyond. You will work alongside the Henderson Technology installation teams to ensure seamless implementation of the EDGEPoS system whilst ensuring customers are making full use of the functions and capabilities available from the system.
As a Technology Trainer, you will:
- Provide on-site training on systems supplied by Henderson Technology
- Host virtual and classroom-based training sessions on functionality of retail systems
- Work with Henderson Technology installation teams to provide seamless implementation of the EDGEPoS system
- Provide feedback to Henderson Technology support and development teams to identify business needs and opportunities for improvement.
- Ability to provide full customer satisfaction and issue resolution
Skills for Success
Joining us as a Technology Trainer, the minimum criteria you'll need is:
- GCSE Including Maths & English minimum Grade C (or Equivalent)
- Experience in presenting, teaching, or delivering training to groups or individuals
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Full, current UK/EU driving license with access to your own vehicle
- Full flexibility to travel and drive throughout the UK, including Scotland, Wales, the Channel Islands, and other locations as required by business needs.
The attributes you'll need include:
- Effective communication skills
- Capacity to use initiative and think analytically
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work to deadlines
It is Desirable if you have:
- 3rd level qualification in IT, Business Management, or a related discipline
- Practical experience of store operations and procedures
- Knowledge of the Henderson Technology suite of products
- Experience with the EDGEPoS retail system

This is a full-time position, working five days out of seven each week. Due to operational needs, occasional overtime and weekend work may be required. It is envisaged that a proportion of your working time will be office based, and the rest field based, with extensive travel to other parts of the UK and beyond. Travel expenses will be re-imbursed. Where travel is required outside of Northern Ireland, a hire car will be provided by the business.
