A look into the role: Our Daily delis are a convenient place for our customers to stop for breakfast, lunch or great coffee on the go. We're looking for a special candidate who will lead our hard-working and friendly team, making it all happen - from preparing delicious food, first class customer service at the deli counter, or maintaining great hygiene standards by keeping the prep and service areas clean. You'll be supported by a team of brilliant people, and there are fantastic career development and progression opportunities.

As Deli Manager you will:

  • Listen to and understand our customers' needs and advise customers about our products and services.
  • Provide a first class service to all of our customers.
  • Allocate work duties to other members of the Daily Deli team to ensure all duties are covered and to maintain a high quality service at all times.
  • Exercise and enforce constant watch over Health & Safety, Security, Discipline and Due Diligence.
  • Carry out food safety control checks in all areas to ensure all standards are being maintained and recorded.
  • Ensure stock is displayed in the correct position to attract sales, the correct price is displayed and waste recording procedure is being followed.
  • Prepare and cook all food in line with company procedure and Health and Safety regulations.
  • Ensure a high standard of cleanliness in the Daily Deli Department (front and back) is maintained at all times.
  • Be accountable for the enforcement of all legislative demands/standards of fire, health, hygiene and safety and these conditions are strictly adhered to.
  • Undertake other duties as required for the role.

Skills for Success:

  • A passion for food with a proven track record for delivering a fantastic customer experience in a similar role.
  • At least 1 years' experience in a serviced food role, and you see your role as a profession, helping us to develop Delish Deli as a key destination for food on the go.
  • At least 6 months' experience in leading a team.
  • A positive attitude and a love for people, inspiring and motivating your team to be the best.
  • Creative flair and an eye for detail, ensuring that excellent presentation and standards are maintained.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety practices and procedures - minimum Level 2 qualification in Food Safety.
  • Commercial Awareness, and ability to deliver on Key Performance Indicators such as sales, costs and profitability.
