Are you an experienced Shift Manager looking to join a successful food manufacturer where you can genuinely make a difference?

We're recruiting for a market-leading manufacturer supplying many of the UK's biggest retailers and brands.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a busy production shift, lead a large team and play a key role in driving performance, safety and continuous improvement.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll manage Production Team Leaders and oversee a team of around 55 Operatives and Technicians.

You'll be responsible for delivering production targets, developing your people and ensuring the highest standards of food safety, quality and operational performance.

  • What you'll be doing
  • Leading and developing Production Team Leaders and shift teams.
  • Delivering production plans safely, on time and to quality standards.
  • Driving continuous improvement and reducing waste.
  • Managing labour, productivity and shift performance.
  • Coaching, developing and motivating your team.
  • Managing performance, attendance and people development.
  • Working closely with Engineering, Planning, Technical and Logistics.
  • Maintaining excellent Health & Safety and Food Safety standards.

What we're looking for

  • Previous Shift Management experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or a fast-paced production environment.
  • Experience leading Team Leaders and large operational teams.
  • Strong people management and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety, Quality and Food Safety.
  • Experience improving performance, efficiency or productivity.
  • A confident decision maker who enjoys developing people.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH.
  • HACCP or Food Safety qualifications.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Experience within an automated manufacturing environment.
