Duties of the role include:
- Lead packaging development projects end-to-end, collaborating with design agencies to deliver best-in-class artwork, reprographics, and print quality.
- Drive continuous improvement in printing processes, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and brand excellence across all SKUs.
- Manage artwork briefs, cutter guides, and packaging specifications, while coordinating seamless redesigns and film changeovers.
- Partner with NPD teams to bring new products to market, supporting trials, transit testing, and on-site implementation.
- Act as the go-to technical expert for packaging on-site, troubleshooting issues and supporting QA and operations teams.
- Analyse packaging performance to enhance line efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product protection and shelf appeal.
- Ensure all packaging meets regulatory, legal, and technical compliance, with accurate digital specification management.
- Deliver cost optimisation and sustainability initiatives, including material rationalisation and supplier-driven innovation.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in a packaging technologist or packaging development role within FMCG or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials, print processes, and reprographics.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.
- Commercial awareness with experience delivering cost-saving or efficiency improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
- Own transport.
