Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of the major retailers. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious NPD Manager to join their business.
Reporting into the Lead NPD Manager, this brand new role is an excellent opportunity for a Food or Fresh Produce professional looking for their role upwards to join a well-respected food manufacturing company that supplies premium products to a number of retailers.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Development: Lead customer own label development through the Stage and Gate process, ensuring flawless transitions from concept to launch.
- Customer Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with customer developers, influencing and aligning with their strategic plans.
- Presentation Excellence: Establish the function as a centre of excellence for product development through high standards in customer presentations.
- Budget Oversight: Manage development budgets in coordination with the Lead Product Development Manager.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate internally to optimise the development process and drive continuous improvements.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Work closely with suppliers to stay ahead in NPD thinking and concept creation.
- Market Insight: Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to identify gaps and innovation opportunities in our product range.
- Critical Path Leadership: Lead critical paths for specific product ranges, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Industry Engagement: Attend trade shows, NPD events, and supplier reviews to stay informed on industry trends.
- Operational Support: Provide support to other department roles during holidays and short-term absences, ensuring operational continuity.
