We are partnering with a highly respected FMCG manufacturer in the South Lincolnshire area to appoint an Engineering Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and develop a team, optimise engineering performance, and drive a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement while supporting a pipeline of exciting upcoming projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily engineering operations, ensuring resources are effectively deployed to maintain high levels of equipment reliability and site performance.
- Champion a proactive safety culture, identifying risks, driving safe working practices, and ensuring adherence to all relevant legislation.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to reduce unplanned downtime and optimise plant efficiency across all production areas.
- Lead site projects, managing delivery from planning through to completion while controlling cost, quality, and timescales.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to increase productivity, improve processes, and reduce operational costs.
- Manage supplier and contractor relationships, oversee engineering budgets, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting of all engineering activities.
Requirements
- Qualified in a relevant engineering discipline, with multi-skilled experience supporting complex machinery in a fast-paced production setting.
- Demonstrated leadership capability, with experience guiding teams, developing skills, and building a positive, accountable working environment.
- Familiarity with automated systems and control technologies, alongside experience creating or improving engineering processes and documentation.
- Strong communication and organisational abilities, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Commercially minded, with the ability to manage costs, track performance, and identify efficiency gains across engineering functions.
- Additional experience with maintenance planning systems and formal health and safety training would be advantageous.
