We're partnering with a leading food manufacturer to recruit a meticulous and proactive QA Auditor. This is a fantastic opportunity to become a key guardian of food safety and quality, ensuring products consistently meet the highest retailer, customer, and regulatory standards. Shift Pattern: Rotating weekly

  • Nights: Sunday: 18:00 - 06:00 / Monday - Thursday: 22:00 - 06:00
  • Afters: Monday - Thursday: 14:00 - 22:00
  • Days: Monday - Thursday: 06:00 - 14:00 / Friday: 06:00 - 18:00

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Conduct a range of internal audits including GMP, Glass & Hard Plastic, hygiene, and food safety inspections, ensuring compliance with BRCGS, retailer, and customer standards.
  • Investigate quality incidents, customer complaints, and non-conformances, using root cause analysis to implement robust corrective and preventative actions.
  • Manage calibration programmes, microbiological testing schedules, ATP and allergen verification, ensuring all food safety controls remain effective.
  • Support daily taste panels, maintain technical documentation, and prepare accurate records to support customer, retailer, and third-party audits.
  • Assess and manage non-conforming products, authorising rework, product holds, waivers, and release activities in line with company procedures.
  • Carry out inspections of incoming raw materials and chocolate tankers, ensuring products meet quality and food safety requirements before production.
  • Deliver Critical Control Point (CCP) training and promote a strong food safety and quality culture across the manufacturing operation.
  • Monitor quality trends and collaborate with Production, Technical, and Engineering teams to drive continuous improvement and Right First Time performance.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a QA Auditor, Quality Assurance Technician, or Quality Auditor within food manufacturing or FMCG.
  • Strong knowledge of retailer standards, HACCP, GMP, food safety legislation, and internal auditing practices.
  • Level 2 Food Safety and Level 2 HACCP qualifications (or equivalent).
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong administrative and IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence colleagues, deliver training, and work collaboratively across multiple departments.
