Senior Indirect Buyer
Location: County Durham (due to the nature of the role, this will be 4 days onsite, 1 day working from home)
Salary: £55,000
Type: Full-time, 12-month fixed term contract

We\’re looking for a commercially minded Senior Indirect Buyer to take ownership of indirect spend across multiple UK sites. This is a strategic role focused on consolidating and standardising categories such as IT, Facilities, Hygiene, HR, and Marketing – helping to unlock efficiencies and maximise value.

Day In The Life:

1. Managing key categories of indirect spend and supporting strategic sourcing activities.
2. Leading tenders, analysing bids, and awarding contracts aligned to policy and ESG goals.
3. Building strong supplier relationships and negotiating favourable terms.
4. Identifying savings opportunities across UK operations and supporting European initiatives.
5. Working with internal stakeholders to understand needs and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
6. Maintaining data accuracy within SAP and supporting invoice query resolution.
7. Mentoring the Procurement Administrator and improving the Purchase to Pay process.
8. Supporting wider procurement projects led by the Head of Procurement.

What We\’re Looking For:

1. Strong experience in indirect procurement or strategic buying roles.
2. Proven track record of managing suppliers and driving commercial outcomes.
3. Confident communicator able to engage cross-functional stakeholders.
4. Process-minded with good analytical skills and ERP experience (ideally SAP).
5. A collaborative approach and a passion for continuous improvement.

Package & Benefits:
