The ideal candidate will have a proven track record within specification writing and have a problem solving approach. They are looking for experience with major retailers throughout the UK. The role will be based out of their Peterborough, Cambridgeshire operation. Responsibilities Specification Technologist Create specifications for retail customers Manage specifications for retailer processes Review and approve artwork for private and own brand Correct pack copy and specifications for branded products Review nutritional information and feedback to NPD department Provide guidance on claim validity and review marketing content to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with regulatory requirements Collate and maintain LHF database Maintain Spec matrix Participate in stage gate processes and support NPD activities, ensuring all quality, safety, and regulatory requirements are met at each stage from concept through to launch Update maintenance specifications for any changesRequirements Specification Technologist Knowledge of 3 of the major retailer systems, codes of practice and requirements. Packaging and labelling experience. Food based qualification. Proven track record within specification writing. Awareness and understanding of sustainability requirements.
