We are currently seeking an individual with time served maintenance skills to join a renowned manufacturing company near to Wombourne, Staffordshire.
Responsibilities Mechanical Technician Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and site equipment.
Respond to breakdowns and mechanical faults to minimise production downtime.
Diagnose mechanical faults using systematic fault-finding techniques.
Repair, replace and maintain bearings, belts, chains, gears, pumps, valves, seals and drive systems.
Work on conveyors, mixers, ovens, packaging machinery, fillers, dosing systems and processing equipment.
Carry out planned corrective maintenance identified through inspections and condition monitoring.
Complete mechanical installations, modifications and machine improvements.
Assist with CAPEX and engineering projects, including installation and commissioning of new machinery.
Perform equipment inspections and identify potential failures before they affect production..
Requirements Mechanical Technician Previous experience in the FMCG sector.
Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering (BTEC, HNC, etc.).
