We are delighted to be working alongside a progressive and well-invested FMCG manufacturer in the search for a Maintenance Manager to enhance engineering performance and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing day-to-day engineering operations, ensuring effective task allocation and smooth delivery of maintenance and project work.
  • Strengthen maintenance performance by improving planned preventative maintenance systems and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Analyse repeat equipment issues, introduce sustainable solutions, and develop team capability in fault finding and technical problem solving.
  • Collaborate closely with production, quality, and compliance teams to meet performance targets while maintaining audit compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Uphold a strong health and safety culture by enforcing site procedures, managing contractors, and ensuring full adherence to HSE policies.
  • Lead and develop the engineering team through coaching, performance management, and effective planning to ensure high standards and consistent delivery.

Requirements

  • Recognised engineering qualification (e.g. BTEC, NVQ or higher) within a relevant discipline.
  • Proven experience managing engineering teams, with the ability to inspire, engage, and develop individuals.
  • Solid understanding of compliance, including health & safety and legal requirements, with experience supporting audits.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across multiple departments.
  • Excellent organisational skills, capable of managing priorities and making sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on experience a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
