Shift Pattern - Monday to Friday, Double Days

Location - Near Grantham

I am recruiting for an opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join an FMCG Manufacturer close to Grantham. You will be completing reactive and preventive maintenance on various machinery and implementing continuous improvement at every stage to keep production running.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver reactive and planned maintenance across highly specialised production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal operational efficiency at all times.
  • Diagnose faults swiftly using structured problem-solving techniques, implementing effective repairs and preventative solutions to reduce repeat breakdowns.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance equipment reliability, performance, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
  • Support installation and commissioning of new machinery and capital projects, aligning with ongoing investment strategies and site development plans.
  • Conduct and review Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules, ensuring tasks remain effective, relevant, and aligned with operational requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation using internal systems, capturing detailed maintenance data to support future analysis, reporting, and root cause investigations.

Requirements

  • Ideally apprentice-trained in electrical or multi-skilled engineering, with proven experience within a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety standards, with the ability to consistently apply safe working practices in an industrial setting.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach, able to respond effectively to changing production demands and seasonal business fluctuations.
  • Competent in maintaining accurate records, with good numerical and organisational skills to support maintenance reporting and compliance.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills, committed to continuous learning, collaboration, and supporting wider engineering objectives.
