Role: Farm Manager Location: Cornwall Salary: £50,000-£60,000 per annum Package: Includes Accommodation, Company Car, Bonus. Our client is a highly reputable, impressive agricultural company and they are now looking for a talented Farm Manager to join them to take this growing operation forward. This is a newly created opportunity and will be fast moving, challenging and very rewarding. Reporting into the Managing Director, you will need to ensure all aspects of the planting, growing and harvesting function is running efficiently in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will need to bring energy and dynamism to lead your team effectively to increase performance and communicate any relevant information correctly across all stakeholders, delivering industry leading service levels for customers in retail and wholesale. The company are looking for a Farm Manager who is innovative and will look to utilise current resource and introduce new technology to improve efficiencies and lower production costs. You will also have an involvement in crop selecting varieties and health and safety procedures must be managed. Also able to demonstrate experience overseeing irrigation practices as this is key element of the company ethos. Ideal Candidate * Experience as Farm Manager overseeing a fresh produce growing and harvesting operation. * A strong leader that can bring energy to influence the farm team. * Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels * High standards in crop management and service levels. * Able to work under pressure during peaks and proven track record of delivery * Able to budget efficiently and drive cost-saving practices * Degree educated in Agriculture or relevant field.
