Overview
Our client is a well-established player in the FMCG sector and is looking for a driven and experienced Continuous Improvement Manager to join their team at a key site in Leicestershire. This is an opportunity within a high-performing business unit and the successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering the site\\\βs Manufacturing Excellence strategy. Working alongside senior leadership, you\\\βll lead CI initiatives that improve operational performance, reduce waste, and build a strong culture of continuous improvement and colleague engagement.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage CI projects aligned to business priorities, ensuring a structured and data-driven approach.
- Coach and support operational managers and teams to embed CI tools and behaviours across all functions.
- Drive improvements in areas such as labour efficiency, material usage, and line balancing through robust analysis and insight.
- Facilitate and support tiered meeting structures, KPIs and performance reviews to ensure operational clarity and accountability.
- Lead site-wide maturity assessments and improvement roadmaps to enable sustainable performance.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Technical, Hygiene) to ensure compliance and H&S standards during project execution.
- Support and develop a small team of CI specialists, ensuring their progression and capability growth.
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in a CI Manager or similar leadership role within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
- Qualified to Lean Six Sigma Black Belt level or equivalent (e.g., Level 5 Improvement Specialist Apprenticeship).
- A proven track record of delivering measurable improvement projects and engaging teams in structured CI methodologies.
- Strong data analysis, root cause investigation, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent coaching and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to lead and influence at all levels.
- Confident using MS Office and continuous improvement software/tools.
