Shift Pattern: 42 Hours Per Week, Days and Nights

We are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of an FMCG manufacturer for a skilled Maintenance Engineer. This role involves providing both electrical and mechanical support across the site, combining hands-on maintenance with continuous improvement initiatives to minimise downtime and optimise performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of manufacturing equipment used in FMCG production
  • Perform both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, with a strong focus on minimising downtime
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across operations
  • Conduct fault finding on both electrical and mechanical systems
  • Work with SCADA systems (or similar) and demonstrate basic PLC knowledge

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role (e.g. Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Shift Engineer, Engineering Technician, Maintenance Technician, or Electrical Maintenance Engineer)
  • Formal qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds), supported by relevant training and experience
  • Experience using CMMS or EAM systems
  • Proven track record of contributing to continuous improvement activities
