Reporting into the Senior Technical Manager, this role is an excellent opportunity for a Food or Fresh Produce professional looking for their role upwards to join a well-respected food manufacturing company that supplies premium products to a number of retailers.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Build and maintain proactive partnerships with customer Technical Teams and Tier 1 suppliers, driving collaboration and trust.

Ensure all products meet food safety, quality standards, and retailer specifications, swiftly managing any non-conformances, withdrawals, or recalls.

Oversee customer product specifications, Quality Attribute Sheets, and artwork approvals, ensuring 100% accuracy and compliance.

Lead thorough investigations into customer complaints, pesticide exceedances, and microbiological issues, providing effective corrective and preventative actions.

Manage supplier due diligence processes, maintaining approved supplier and variety lists while ensuring all partners meet the highest standards.

Support supplier sustainability plans and ethical compliance, working closely with internal teams to champion continuous improvement and responsible sourcing.

Monitor, report, and act on customer and technical KPIs, using data-driven insights to enhance product quality and service.

Organise and attend supplier crop walks, factory visits, and first production runs, ensuring transparency and quality throughout the supply chain.

Work hand-in-hand with Commercial, Procurement, and Innovation teams to support new product launches and strengthen supplier relationships.

Contribute to wider business development initiatives, supporting tenders, projects, and seasonal peaks to drive growth.

Proven track record in a similar role in food manufacturing or fresh produce is required

Flexibility to travel within the UK and overseas

Own transport and full UK working rights are required (no sponsorship available)
