Henderson Brown are delighted to be partnering with a leading FMCG manufacturer based in Kent, who are looking to appoint an experienced and driven Engineering Manager.

We're looking for a high-calibre engineering leader who can hit the ground running, take ownership of a large engineering function, develop and empower the team, and embed a strong culture of continuous improvement across the site.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Engineering teams, ensuring effective resource planning, training, development, performance, and alignment with production requirements.
  • Maintain engineering, maintenance, food safety, HACCP, BRC, health, safety, environmental, statutory, and regulatory standards across the manufacturing site.
  • Manage planned maintenance, inspections, contractors, facilities, repairs, documentation, and compliance, ensuring activities are completed safely, efficiently, and effectively.
  • Collaborate with site leadership to deliver engineering projects, improvements, budgets, timelines, equipment solutions, operational efficiency, productivity, and profitability.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading large engineering teams within an FMCG or fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on people development.
  • Engineering qualification such as Degree, HNC, or HND, supported by strong practical experience within a high-volume manufacturing setting.
  • Strong track record of delivering continuous improvement, engineering projects, reliability initiatives, and operational efficiencies across a manufacturing site.
  • Sound knowledge of HSE, food safety, HACCP, BRC, statutory compliance, maintenance systems, and engineering standards within a regulated environment.
  • A confident and commercially minded leader with strong communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills, capable of driving meaningful change.
