In response to the rapid growth in sites being developed as our client rolls out its portfolio of destination based charging stations, we are excited to recruit this new position. The role will play a critical role in undertaking initial site assessments and the preparation of pre-construction information as we follow the CDM2015 guidelines.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Producing higher quality pre-construction information for our delivery partners.
- Providing charger configuration details (current and future demand).
- Illustrating proposed charger locations as CAD files.
- Conducting initial assessments of risks and delivery issues raised through initial engagement with the landowner/representative.
- Estimating budgetary build costs to support early site evaluation and commercial viability.
- Providing detailed knowledge of sites to support internal and external reviews.
- Ensuring high quality information for the Partnership team to maintain communication and plans with landlords and stakeholders.
- Assisting the Construction Director with high quality and accurate site history information when sites go into construction phase.
- Conducting site inspections to ensure safety and compliance on site and assisting the Construction Director and/or Construction managers.
- Building relationships with site providers/landlords.
- Building relationships with delivery partners and providing feedback on performance/accuracy of designs.
Whilst the role sits in the Operations team, the role holder will work across the wider team and support the engagement with our delivery partners.
Qualifications and experience required:
- Degree or relevant professional qualification preferred.
- Experienced CAD operator for the production of site plans/drawings.
- Experience of working within or aligned to the power distribution network operator (DNO) sector and provision of new grid connections.
- Experience developing budgetary build estimates.
- Ideally having experience in the deployment of EV charging or similar solutions.
- Full driving licence.
