We are looking for a dedicated Global Sourcing Manager, reporting to the Procurement Director, EMEA to focus on direct procurement for raw materials, supporting our wider category management and procurement activities as we continue to scale and grow.

Drive Strategic Procurement of Raw Materials

In this role, you will support the development and implementation of global procurement strategies, with a specific focus on the direct procurement of raw materials for EMEA region. You will collaborate closely with the global category team, regional stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure alignment and drive cost-effective sourcing practices.

Your work will contribute to the overall success of Hempel’s procurement function, ensuring that raw materials are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with both global and regional objectives.

  • Develop & Implement Sourcing Strategies: Collaborate with the global category team to carry out sourcing strategies that cater to both global and regional needs.
  • Manage Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships to ensure competitive pricing, reliability, and high-quality materials.
  • Identify Cost-Saving Opportunities: Leverage market insights to drive cost efficiencies and continuous improvement within the raw materials category.

What We’re Looking For – A Collaborative Procurement Expert

The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement and category management, preferably from direct spend, ideally from the chemicals industry. Strong supplier and stakeholder relationship management and project management skills are essential.

  • Procurement Experience: Experience in direct procurement and/or sourcing, ideally in raw materials or related industries.
  • Supplier Management: Ability to develop and handle supplier relationships, ensuring cost-effectiveness and reliability.
  • Project Management Skills: Strong organisational skills with the ability to balance multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
  • Supplier and Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across regions, ensuring sourcing strategies align with operational needs and business objectives.

Fluency in English is required, with experience in manufacturing and coatings and/or chemical industries beneficial but not essential.
