Keep Our Site Moving and build Your Career. We are looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician with both mechanical and electrical capability to join our team at our Darwen site. Reporting to the Engineering Maintenance Manager, you will play a hands‑on role in keeping our plant and equipment running safely and efficiently throughout the night shift. This is a practical role where your mechanical and electrical expertise will make a real difference every shift.
Shift Pattern
Two shifts, week one 06.00 - 14.00 Monday to Friday, week two 13.45 - 22.15 Monday to Thursday.
What You Will Do
- Carry out both mechanical and electrical fault finding, repairs and installations.
- Complete planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
- Work safely and follow best practice engineering standards.
- Adapt to changing priorities to keep production running smoothly.
- Maintain high housekeeping and hygiene standards.
- Share knowledge and support colleagues across the shift.
- Keep accurate maintenance records.
- Support preventive maintenance planning within SAP.
What You Will Bring
- Experience as a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault finding capability.
- Experience installing and commissioning equipment.
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- A recognised engineering qualification such as ONC, NVQ Level 3, apprenticeship or equivalent experience in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Confidence using SAP and Microsoft Office tools.
- Counterbalance FLT, MEWP or IOSH certification is welcome but not essential.
