Hemisphere are looking for a new team member within our European Operations department.
Our European Logistics team are responsible for providing solutions and managing the logistics operations of any products moving throughout Europe via dedicated vans, trailers, or through groupage services.
We are looking for a European Operations Team Leader to be able to support the ongoing development of the team and to handle our customers growing European Logistics requirements.
From sourcing solutions from European Hauliers, presenting those solutions to customers, through to executing the logistics operation, and delivering exceptional levels of customer service, we are looking for an experienced European Operations Team Leader who can contribute significantly towards our European team and company.
The role will involve
- A high level of customer care dealing directly new and existing customer needs, liaising with suppliers to deliver on our service commitment and promise.
- Working with new customers and putting together personalised operational manuals designed for the rest of the European team to follow
- Ensuring all Customs formalities for European Movements are followed by the European Team
- Building and maintaining client relations for continued business with customers
- Data capture and record keeping
- Maintaining a high level of standard of all operational requirements of the European Team
- Supporting customers with general customs advice
- Perform ongoing checks to ensure European Files are AEO compliant
- Proactive approach to problem solving and opportunities.
- Being able to multitask and prioritize workloads.
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Working with HMRC and other customs authorities
- Looking at new ways to improve how the European department can provide a better service to our customers and improve working relationships with our suppliers.
- Working closely with the European Manager to ensure all tasks are completed correctly and to a high standard
Additional aspect may be included or varied depending on an applicant’s skill set and experience.
This role requires someone with Team Leading/Supervising experience who enjoys coaching and motivating others.
You will need to have
- European Operations experience, especially at Team Leader level.
- Knowledge of customs process and requirements
- Competence in handling/submitting additional customs documentation, certificates or licences
- Knowledge of Tariffs
- Handling of customs for freight movements involving EU/EFTA countries
- Understanding of AEO Procedures
- General Customs Compliance
- Understanding of Inco Terms
- Additional declarations for specific destinations and origins
- High level customer service skills.
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good problem-solving skills
