Basic Information

  • Helping 5 days a week - 2 days off every week.

By helping to support the daily life of our peaceful Buddhist retreat centre, you will be involved in meaningful tasks such as working in the kitchen, assisting with household duties, and helping in our café. You will be part of a warm, international community, living and working alongside resident Buddhist monks, nuns, and lay practitioners from around the world.

Beyond your volunteer hours, you are invited to join meditation classes and prayer sessions, offering a chance to deepen your own practice or simply experience a calm and reflective way of life. In your free time, you can enjoy our beautiful 38 acres of parkland and surrounding countryside, or explore nearby cities such as Derby (20 minutes away) and Birmingham (1 hour away) by public transport.
