At Helping Hands, kindness is our foundation. From our first kitchen-table beginnings to the thousands-strong team we are today, we're united by one belief: everyone deserves to live well in the place they call home. If you're passionate about making a difference and want a role where your work genuinely helps families through some of life's most important decisions, there's a place for you here.
To support our continued growth, we're looking for a New Business Care Coordinator to join our team.
This is a pivotal role at the start of our customers' journey with Helping Hands. You'll work closely with the New Business Team, Care Coordinators and families to ensure every new care package is set up smoothly and efficiently. Acting as a key point of contact, you'll guide customers through the transition from initial enquiry to the commencement of care, providing reassurance, organisation and exceptional service every step of the way.
For many families, arranging care can be an emotional and challenging time. Your role will help make that process as seamless and supportive as possible.
Salary - £27,000 per year
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring our CRM system to maintain visibility of all new business meetings and opportunities across the region
- Keeping customer records, care information and progress updates accurate and up to date
- Building strong relationships with customers, families and key stakeholders throughout the onboarding process
- Taking ownership of the customer journey from initial engagement through to the commencement of care
- Working closely with Care Coordinators to ensure a smooth handover once care begins
- Coordinating travel arrangements and arrival plans for carers, ensuring customers and families are fully informed
- Liaising with internal teams, including Finance, to ensure contracts are accurately set up and all required payments are received
- Ensuring new care packages are launched successfully, with customer needs and expectations met at every stage
- Providing a responsive, professional and compassionate service that reflects the values of Helping Hands
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
We're looking for a highly organised and customer-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional care experiences.
You'll bring:
- Previous experience working within the care sector, ideally in a Care Coordinator or similar role
- Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills, with confidence engaging with customers, families and colleagues at all levels
- The ability to build positive and effective relationships both internally and externally
- A compassionate and person-centred approach to customer care
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and information
- A proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership and see tasks through to completion
- Good IT skills and experience using customer relationship management systems
Benefits
We're a purpose-led organisation, but we also operate at scale, supporting thousands of customers and families across the UK every day.
This is your chance to:
- Make a meaningful difference to customers and families during a significant life transition
- Join a supportive and collaborative team environment
- Develop your career within one of the UK's leading home care providers
- Be part of an organisation where kindness, quality and people are at the heart of everything we do
