Location: St Helens, Merseyside (One existing home & one new opening)

Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm)

Helping Care are a contracted and registered placement North West provider, and we are looking for a Dual Registered Manager to join our St Helens team.

You will be overseeing one existing home and leading the commissioning of our brand-new solo placement service opening soon. We look after the most complex children with pride and confidence, striving to provide them with a better way of life where they have a family environment to feel safe.

As well as offering a high-level salary of up to £65,000 and 33 days holiday, you will have the backing of our own in-house psychologists and therapists who spend dedicated time with both the children and the team.

About Our Homes

Helping Care are proud that all our existing homes are Good rated by Ofsted. We specialise in therapeutic solo placements for young people with complex needs (EBD and Learning Disabilities). Because our homes are 2 to 1 staffing, you have the resources to provide the level of care these children truly deserve.

We’ve designed them to be home from home environments, with separate staff offices and bedrooms to maintain a professional yet nurturing atmosphere. We’re looking for a Dual Registered Manager who takes pride in maintaining these high standards of living and providing a safe, therapeutic space where young people can thrive.

The Role: What you will be doing

As the Dual Registered Manager, you hold ultimate accountability for the leadership and operational success of your homes. You are responsible for protecting the children and empowering them to thrive despite their complex histories.

Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Regulatory Excellence: Holding ultimate accountability for the homes, including Regulation 13 compliance and ensuring Regulation 44 and 45 requirements are met and resolved.
  • Care Coordination: Conducting comprehensive assessments and facilitating placements that align with our children's assessed needs.
  • Clinical Collaboration: Working closely with our in-house psychologists and therapists to support therapeutic interventions.
  • Team Leadership: Recruiting, mentoring, and empowering your staff teams through supervision and appraisal.
  • Digital Excellence: Managing record keeping through Microsoft Office and digital platforms to ensure 100% compliance.

Your Experience and Qualifications

Essential:

  • The Background: You have proven experience as a Dual Registered Manager or a high-level leader within a residential care environment, demonstrating a deep understanding of what it takes to run a high-quality service.
  • Ratings: A proven track record of Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings.
  • Qualifications: You hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • The Personality: You are calm, confident, and empathetic. You are a resilient team player who can advocate for the rights and well-being of children.

Desirable:

  • Multi-site management experience as we continue our growth toward 12 homes.
