We're looking for a Senior Planning and Performance Lead to join our Supporter Experience Department. This is a key role at the heart of Commercial decision‐making, helping us understand where value is being created, where risks and opportunities sit, and where focus and improvement should be directed.

You'll help teams make sense of complex performance information and turn it into clear recommendations, priorities and actions that strengthen both income and supporter experience.

About the Role

As Senior Planning and Performance Lead, you'll lead the Commercial performance view, helping teams understand what is working, where value is being created, and where attention is needed. You'll shape decisions about investment, prioritisation and improvement by making sure performance evidence and insight are translated into clear recommendations that support planning and continuous improvement.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the Commercial performance view across products, channels, campaigns, audiences and supporter groups, identifying the questions, priorities, risks and opportunities that need attention.
  • Act as the key Commercial lead for performance questions, working with Insight, data, digital and finance colleagues to prioritise deeper analysis and translate findings into practical decisions and actions.
  • Maintain a clear view of relative value across Commercial activity, including income, contribution, retention, attrition, engagement and longer‐term supporter value.
  • Shape and improve dashboards, scorecards and performance reporting so they are accurate, relevant, accessible and actively used in decision‐making.
  • Help teams use performance information more confidently through self‐serve reporting, shared definitions and consistent measures of success.
  • Help shape agreed KPIs, milestones and broader performance indicators, creating a more consistent view of success across Commercial.

About You

Are you someone who can bring structure, clarity and focus to complex information? Do you enjoy working with data, insight and evidence — not just to understand what has happened, but to help shape what should happen next? Are you a creative thinker that can find innovative solutions to problems?

You'll be confident working across different activities, channels and audiences, with strong commercial awareness and the ability to understand what is driving value, engagement and longer‐term outcomes. You'll be comfortable turning business questions into clear requirements, working with colleagues across Insight, data and digital to make sure the right questions are answered and the findings are used well.

You'll also be someone who can influence through evidence, communicate clearly with senior stakeholders, and help teams make confident decisions through better use of reporting, shared measures and performance information. Essentially, we're looking for someone who is analytical, commercially aware, proactive and collaborative — with the motivation to improve how teams understand performance, prioritise activity and make decisions.

About the Team

Supporter Experience is a newly formed department within Commercial, created to help us better understand, engage, support and motivate our supporters. We're a collaborative and developing team, working across Commercial to bring greater clarity, consistency and confidence to planning, performance and decision‐making. This is an opportunity to help shape how the department develops from the beginning, using evidence, insight and shared understanding to strengthen supporter relationships and grow long‐term value.

In return we can offer you:

  • Belonging to a team who make a difference to our community and value equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • 29 days' annual leave plus 8 bank holidays, regardless of service — plus your birthday off to celebrate!
  • Opportunity to buy and sell up to 5 days annual leave per year.
  • Added to our free health scheme from day one, including discounts on dental, opticians, massages, and more - with the option to upgrade.
  • 3 volunteer days per year to support the Help for Heroes community.
  • A generous salary sacrifice pension scheme with an 8% employer contribution and a minimum 3% employee contribution, plus life insurance up to 4× salary as an active member.

We are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and welcome applications from all backgrounds.
