A Liverpool-based fire protection contractor operating within the UK construction industry is currently recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. The client is open to candidates at all levels of experience, including Assistant QS, Quantity Surveyor, and Senior Quantity Surveyor, and will tailor responsibilities accordingly. This role offers exposure to specialist subcontracting works within fire protection packages across a variety of construction projects.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Full commercial management of fire protection projects
- Preparation of valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Subcontractor procurement and account management
- Cost reporting, forecasting, and commercial controls
- Tender support and pricing assistance
- Contract administration (JCT / NEC forms)
- Liaising with internal project teams and external stakeholders
Candidate Requirements
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
- Fire protection / specialist subcontractor experience beneficial (not essential)
- Strong understanding of commercial construction processes
- Knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Competent in Microsoft Excel and relevant QS systems
