A well-established main contractor is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Construction Planner to support both tender-stage and live construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a planner looking to work on a varied portfolio of refurbishment and new-build schemes with a stable and growing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce fully logic-linked programmes covering design, procurement, construction and commissioning
- Prepare tender-stage planning documentation including logistics plans, phasing diagrams and method statements
- Support bid submissions and attend tender and settlement meetings
- Work closely with pre-construction, operations and supply chain teams to optimise construction methodology and sequencing
- Provide programme support to project managers, including site-based planning and progress reporting
- Identify programme risks, manage change and update risk registers
- Produce planning visuals and reports for internal and client use
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a construction planning role
- Proficient in Asta Powerproject and Microsoft Project
- Experience working on multi-disciplinary construction projects
- Background in refurbishment and new-build projects across industrial, commercial, retail or education sectors
- Strong understanding of construction processes, programme control and planning best practice
- Commercially aware with the ability to assess programme impacts
- Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work with minimal supervision
- Full UK driving licence
Salary & Benefits
- Up to £75,000 basic salary
- £6,000 car allowance

- 23 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing to 28 days with service)
