The Financial Manager at HELM will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance, and driving strategic financial planning to support the company’s growth in the yacht charter sector. This role combines high-level financial leadership with hands-on management of budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, while maintaining transparency and efficiency across all transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the group's business objectives; provide commercial insights to support decision-making and profitability; partner with senior leadership on growth initiatives, including new markets and services.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts; monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure operational stability; conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Accounting & Reporting: Oversee preparation of accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; ensure compliance with international accounting standards; prepare statistical reporting on sales staff and marketing activities.
- Operational Finance: Oversee payments both accounts receivable and payable and ensure all payments are timely reconciled; manage currency exposure and recommend appropriate risk reduction strategies.
Skills & Qualifications
- Education: ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in managerial finance roles.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in financial management software.
- Commercially astute with a strategic mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Background in travel or agency operations (luxury, hospitality, or related sectors).
