As a Lead Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping both clinical excellence and team culture within your clinic. You’ll be empowered with the tools, structure, and support needed to deliver the highest quality of care, while also leading and developing a high-performing, engaged team. You’ll have the clinical freedom to practise contextualised care, tailoring your approach to the individual needs of each patient and their family, while guiding your team to do the same.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:- Leading, mentoring, and developing the clinical team to deliver outstanding patient care
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture
- Supporting clinical governance, standards, and continuous improvement within the practice
- Coaching and supporting less experienced vets and nurses in their development
- Working collaboratively with the wider Hello Vet network and leadership team
- Balancing clinical responsibilities with leadership and operational oversight
- Championing our approach to contextualised, relationship-led care
- Driving team engagement, wellbeing, and retention

- Are an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with at least 5-10 years’ experience in general practice
- Have experience mentoring or leading others (or are ready to step into a leadership role)
- Communicate with empathy and lead with integrity
- Are passionate about developing people and building strong teams
- Want to be part of a culture that is challenging the norm and improving veterinary care
- Have experience and/or a ‘can do’ mindset to opening a brand new clinic
