Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Test Manager – Infrastructure and Networks to lead testing activities across large-scale infrastructure and network environments.
The ideal candidate will bring deep understanding of infrastructure technologies, test planning, execution oversight, and quality assurance within complex delivery programmes.
This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality outcomes across infrastructure builds, migrations, configurations, and integrations while maintaining alignment with programme objectives and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end test strategy, planning, execution, and reporting across infrastructure and network projects.
- Coordinate and manage all testing phases while ensuring alignment with programme timelines and quality gates.
- Oversee testing of network components, infrastructure builds, migrations, configurations, and integrations.
- Identify test-related risks, issues, and dependencies and drive mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, operations, and delivery teams to ensure readiness and high-quality outcomes.
- Manage defect triage and resolution processes to ensure timely closure.
- Ensure test artefacts meet required standards and maintain comprehensive documentation.
- Establish and promote testing best practices across projects and teams.
- Monitor testing progress and communicate status updates to key stakeholders.
- Support quality assurance activities and ensure adherence to governance frameworks.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to drive successful programme delivery.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Test Manager within large and complex IT environments.
- Strong background in Infrastructure and/or Network Testing, including servers, networks, cloud environments, data centres, and security appliances.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-phase and multi-team test cycles.
- Experience with test governance, reporting, and quality assurance frameworks.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in fast-paced programme environments with multiple stakeholders.
- Active SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain SC Clearance.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly to Warwick or Wokingham based on project requirements.
- Knowledge of service introduction and operational readiness testing is advantageous.
- Experience with enterprise change management and release processes is preferred.
- Understanding of cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments is beneficial.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
