Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Solution Architect to act as a trusted technical advisor and provide technical leadership in the resolution of High-Profile Incidents and Major Incidents through a formal technical escalation model. This role owns solution design across delivery phases, works through complex technical challenges in partnership with project and engagement management teams, and ensures safe delivery of solutions into live operations while maintaining alignment with architecture governance and service roadmaps.
What you will do:
- Act as technical authority for a portfolio of services and manage escalated technical issues.
- Lead technical resolution of High Profile Incidents and Major Incidents through formal escalation processes.
- Provide communication on fixes and technical risks affecting live services.
- Contribute to the technical aspects of the service roadmap and approve key technical changes to services.
- Advise Service Directors on the use of existing and emerging technologies.
- Identify, communicate, and manage technical operational risks.
- Take ownership of client requirements, deliverables, and adherence to architecture governance and best practices.
- Drive solution development and produce detailed solution design documentation throughout the lifecycle.
- Provide architectural oversight and direction across delivery teams and agile development environments.
- Own end to end technical operational requirements and deliver ad hoc technical assessments.
- Liaise with stakeholders to communicate service risks and technical issues clearly.
- Support continual improvement initiatives to drive efficiencies across the service estate.
- Manage technical relationships with vendors and third parties.
- Own technical problem management and ensure resolution aligned to agreed solution specifications.
Qualifications:
- Experience acting as a trusted technical advisor within complex service environments.
- Strong background in solution architecture across public and private cloud platforms and enterprise technologies.
- Proven experience handling technical escalations, incident resolution, and live service risk management.
- Ability to work closely with agile delivery teams and senior stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of architecture governance, best practices, and service roadmap alignment.
- Experience managing technical relationships with vendors and third parties.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem resolution skills.
- Familiarity with technologies such as AWS, Azure, Oracle databases, data lakehouse architectures, Talend, Denodo, and SAS tools is advantageous.
