Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Storage DPS SME to provide subject matter expertise across enterprise data protection services, ensuring resilient backup, restore, and disaster recovery capabilities for OpenShift, virtualised, and bare-metal workloads. This role requires strong DPS storage and virtualisation knowledge, including provisioning, migration practices, and deep understanding of DPS hardware installation and configuration. The position plays a critical role in safeguarding business-critical data through robust backup architectures, performance optimisation, and compliance-driven recovery strategies.
What you will do:
- Design and operate backup policies, schedules, retention models, and air-gap strategies.
- Integrate data protection solutions with OpenShift using Velero and CSI snapshots and align with databases for application-consistent backups.
- Optimize performance, deduplication, encryption, and replication to disaster recovery sites.
- Perform restores, lead disaster recovery drills, produce compliance reporting, and conduct capacity planning.
- Provide expertise in enterprise data protection platforms including NetBackup, Commvault, and Data Domain.
- Ensure alignment with governance, audit, and regulatory requirements for data protection services.
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with NetBackup, Commvault, and Data Domain.
- Strong knowledge of SAN, NAS, Linux, and networking fundamentals.
- Experience designing and operating solutions aligned with RPO and RTO requirements and regulatory audit needs.
