Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to support the delivery of strategic platform migration initiatives within a large-scale financial services environment. This role requires strong end-to-end delivery expertise across infrastructure, data, and network migrations, ensuring alignment with governance, risk, and change management standards. The position demands a delivery-focused professional capable of managing complex technical programmes while engaging effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
What you will do:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of infrastructure and platform migration projects from initiation through transition and handover.
- Plan and manage platform, data, and network migration activities to minimize disruption to live services.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, RAID logs, and dependency tracking.
- Ensure compliance with change control, risk management, and governance frameworks.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including infrastructure, network, security, application, and third-party vendors.
- Engage with senior stakeholders to provide clear updates on progress, risks, and delivery outcomes.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear business-relevant communication.
- Identify and manage risks, issues, and blockers to maintain delivery momentum.
- Ensure delivery aligns with agreed scope, quality standards, budget, and timelines.
- Drive alignment between business objectives and technical execution.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across delivery practices.
- Contribute to broader transformation programmes within the technology function.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Infrastructure Project Manager within banking or financial services environments.
- Demonstrated experience delivering platform migration projects including infrastructure, data, or network migrations.
- Strong understanding of change control, governance, and risk management processes within regulated environments.
- Experience managing complex technical change across enterprise-scale technology landscapes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience engaging senior leadership.
- Proven ability to deliver projects within defined timelines and budgets.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Experience working with cloud or hybrid cloud environments is advantageous.
- Familiarity with containerization or virtualization technologies such as OpenShift is desirable.
- Relevant project management certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile methodologies are advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and delivery-focused mindset.
- Ability to operate effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
